Ok so again a little bit of a side story here, still related to my 100DaysOfCloud challenge, but I guess its an enabling day for me today!
For those of you who have been following along with the build of my multi function set up, today was the day that my desk was delivered, this meant only one thing for me! Time to rope in the kids and the wife and get into full on build mode!
We actually started the day with the sound of an IKEA van reversing around the corner of our street, although I am off on Annual Leave this week my wife couldn’t resist the 6.45am alarm getting me up to get started on the build of our new TV unit! But I knew what was following, so I of course obliged freely 😉
After around 45 minutes we got the TV stand built and cracked on with a bit of Brekkie whilst watching a bit of Kim Kardashian’s interview with David Letterman on Netflix! A banana and a crumpet later, we were ready to start Build #2.
So, after rounding up the kids to act as my pack horses, they shipped the packages up to the Studio in quick sharp time!! (What would I do without them and my wonderful wife eh?!)
As I was making my way to the studio, I noticed the Openreach van parked outside, yes!!!! It was for us! 100Mbit Fibre to the Premises Internet going in, well at least the fibre….. I think we are being switched on next Monday!
First stop, unpack the table and get it built…….
Finally the legs are on, I’ve probably got about 16 inches of clearance on the left hand side, just enough for the cupboard door to swing open!
Now its time for the flip!!!
Table flipped, lets get to securing some monitor arms!
Now we are ready to load all the kit on!!!
The vertical monitor and thinkpad on the left is the work rig, hooked up to a KVM, with the Canon EOS just creeping in, Ive moved that more central now. a Rokit KRK studio monitor. Then we have the 27 Vertical AOC Monitor, 32 Curved AOC and the other 27 Verticle capped of with the other Rokit KRK Monitor and the AMD/ROG Beast!
A few more peripherals including the Focusrite 4i4 Audio Interface, small studio Monitor splitter, KVM, LeMetric Time, Stream Deck XL, Echo Show 8, a couple of Pairs of Studio Headphones!
There we have it, a quick strip of RGB LEDs stuck around the edge by Jessica and we are complete.
If anyone has any questions or needs any assistance then don’t hesitate to give me a shout! More than happy to help!!
I really am happy to get this far with my set up. The idea is that it will help me produce content for our fantastic Azure community! Stay tuned and we will see how it all unfolds!!
Thanks for reading everyone!

I would encourage others to jump on this journey, I’m not sure that I will be able to commit every day for 100 days, but as long as I can complete 100 days that will be great!
